About the Artist

Born in August of 1986, I spent most of my young life in Colorado. More than just a pass-time, creativity has always been a necessity in my life. I developed a deep love for fantasy art and watercolors in my pre-teen years, spending every free moment trying to make the images in my mind a reality. After graduating from the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a degree in Illustration in 2008, I moved to the East Coast, where I now live with my husband. As a freelance illustrator, I take on commission work and manage my online shop, sharing my artistic journey with others as it continues to evolve.
My art is often shaped by a deep exploration of the cyclical nature of life and the interconnectedness of opposites—concepts like the ouroboros, where endings and beginnings exist in harmony. While my work has always been rooted in fantasy, it has increasingly focused on nature, animals, and spiritual themes. I describe my creations as existing on the borders of reality and imagination, the known and unknown, the light and the dark.
Writing found me unexpectedly. What began as a personal exercise soon blossomed into The Lord of Shadows series, my first venture into the literary world. The support I received from others was overwhelming, and since then, I’ve continued to write, with more stories in progress, including additional books in the Lord of Shadows series.
The greatest joy I find as both an artist and an author is sharing the spark of inspiration that was once given to me. I hope my work inspires others to embrace their own creativity and see the potential within themselves. My work, like music, speaks to people in different ways. I rarely provide detailed explanations because I believe art should invite personal interpretation. Art becomes a reflection of those who engage with it, and it is in these connections that art finds its true meaning.
